This is a nine-year-old Ardmore, a Highland single malt bottled by The Single Cask at a cask strength of 58.5% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was distilled in 2009 and matured in an ex-bourbon cask, number 1312, before bottling in 2018. The cask yielded 217 bottles.
The nose is smoky with coastal salinity, sea salt and wet slate, followed by citrus and ferns. On the palate there is creamy vanilla with subtle smoke, oak and soft stone fruits. The finish carries vanilla, soft peat and smoke, with stone fruits and wood shavings.
