This is a 13-year-old Highland single malt from Ardmore, distilled on 27 October 2009 and bottled in January 2023 by Signatory Vintage for its Un-Chillfiltered Collection. A total of 1,623 bottles were filled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and without added colouring.
The whisky matured in second-fill bourbon barrels that had previously held Islay whisky, so the Ardmore peat is joined by an Islay influence from the wood.
The nose brings peat smoke, lemon, honey and floral notes, with mint, chamomile and a slight medicinal edge. The palate is smoky and spicy, with pepper, salinity, citrus and a soft, waxy texture. The finish stays spicy and lightly smoky, with pepper and fresh citrus.
