This is an 11 year old Highland single malt from Ardmore, the Winter Edition 2021 in Signatory Vintage's Single Cask Seasons range. It was distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2021 at 60.4% ABV, from a second fill sherry butt finish, cask number 4. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, and 723 bottles were filled.
The nose opens with medium smoke, caramel and spice, followed by orange peel, overripe passion fruit and red grapes. The palate has an extinguished match, clear wood notes and some leather, then raisins, dried dates and a touch of black tea.
The finish starts with raisins and warm ash, then fades slowly to tree resin, nougat and a trace of aniseed.
