Ardmore – 22 Year Old 2003/2026 Murray McDavid Mission Gold Bourbon Barrels

This Ardmore was distilled in 2003 and matured for 22 years in bourbon barrels, then bottled in 2026. It is a single cask release in Murray McDavid's Mission Gold series, yielding 507 bottles. Ardmore was founded in 1898 in Aberdeenshire, and Murray McDavid has been known as an independent bottler since 1994. The nose offers citrus oil, flint and a sweetness like fruit sweets. On the palate come lemongrass and creamy, lightly salted butter under a delicate veil of smoke. It fades to exotic fruit, malty sweetness, fine wood notes and a trace of charcoal.
