This Ardmore was distilled in 1997 and bottled after 25 years of maturation by Elixir Distillers for its Single Malts of Scotland range. It belongs to the A Marriage of Casks series and is bottled at 48.6% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose balances red fruit, ripe apples and chocolate with maritime notes and a little smoke. The palate is silky yet full of flavour, with mineral smoke, oak and spice, followed by apricots and ripe apples. The finish is very long, returning to fruit, smoke, spice and oak.
