Ardmore Legacy is a lightly peated Highland single malt that combines smoky and non-smoky malts. It is an official distillery bottling at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matures in bourbon casks and then spends a further period in quarter casks, smaller casks that give more wood contact for the volume of liquid. It is chill-filtered and coloured.
The nose offers heather honey, cinnamon and toffee with subtle peat smoke. On the palate come creamy vanilla, honey and spice, and a little water brings out smoky charcoal. The finish is full and silky, turning dry and spicy and lasting long.
