Ardmore Port Wood is a 12-year-old Highland single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was first matured in American white oak bourbon casks and then moved into Port casks.
The nose opens with peat that is soon joined by summer berries, red grapes and old oak. On the palate there is flamed orange peel with soft peat at the front, sealed with a little vanilla from the bourbon casks. The finish is light and honeyed, ending on a note of winey sweetness.
