Ardmore – Traditional Peated Single Malt Scotch Whisky (1L, 40%)

Ardmore Traditional Peated is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 40% ABV, in a 1 litre bottle. It recalls the time when most Highland distilleries dried their barley over local peat smoke. The whisky is double matured, first in oak barrels and then in smaller Quarter Casks. The barrels, described as American, bring maturity, while the smaller casks give a spicy, creamy note. The nose is full-bodied and smooth. The palate is rich and creamy, with a peat tang and a touch of vanilla. A little water brings out sweet ripe fruit before the peat. The finish is full, succulent and fairly long.
