Ardmore Triple Wood is a peated single malt Scotch, non-chill-filtered and bottled at 46% in a one-litre bottle.
It matures in three types of cask: American oak barrels, quarter casks and puncheons. Traditional Highland peat smoke runs through the whisky.
The nose opens with ginger, burnt sugar, cherries and honey over biscuity cereal and banana. The palate brings light caramelised sugar, toasted barley and gentle peat smoke, then sweet vanilla custard. The finish is light, with soft smoke, lingering pepper and toasted almonds.
