A 1965 Armagnac from Rounagle.
The palate is soft yet substantial, with dried and cooked fruit, sweet tobacco, light vanilla and a spicy undertone. The texture is velvety, with significant persistence and a clean, long aromatic finish.
It is presented in a 70cl bottle in a wooden box. A little aeration opens the aromas further; served in a tulip glass it accompanies dark chocolate, aged cheeses or a moment of meditation after dinner.
