A 16 year old single malt French whisky distilled at Armorik in Brittany, from the Warenghem distillery. It was distilled in 2006, matured in a Sauternes cask and bottled by Auld Alliance at natural cask strength, 60.5%, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings roasted nuts, burnt cake and cooked wine somewhere between triple sec and Sauternes, with apricot eau-de-vie and fresh panettone. On the palate come orange blossom, apples, tart oranges, apricot and mirabelle plum jam, with oak, clove and cinnamon. The aftertaste has burnt pastries, plum juice and a little brown tobacco.
