Armorik Sherry Cask Single Malt (70cl, 46%)

Armorik Sherry Cask is a Breton single malt from Distillerie Warenghem, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. Oloroso sherry casks are used for the whole maturation, not only a final finish, adding candied fruit and spice to the distillery's fruity character. It is made from French organic barley, including barley from Brittany, and twice distilled in pot stills. It carries the protected geographical indication Whisky Breton. The amber colour is natural and it is not chill-filtered. The nose is intense and fine, with a subtle sherry influence, sweet vanilla, citrus, a little dried fruit and a hint of menthol. The palate is round and balanced, with crème brûlée, prunes and roasted almonds. The finish is warm, with sherry, spice and light vanilla.
