Arran 10 Year Old - Machrie Moor (70cl, 46%)

This is a 10 year old peated single malt from Arran, named after Machrie Moor, a windswept peat bog on the island's west coast where Bronze Age stone circles and standing stones lie across the open ground. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The nose is richly and sweetly spiced, with peat smoke and ripe citrus fruit. The palate is warming and balanced, with sweetness under the spice and sweet smoke adding intensity. The finish is long and intense.
