Arran 10 Year Old Non-Chill-Filtered (70cl, 46%)

Arran 10 Year Old is a non-chill-filtered single malt from the Lochranza Distillery on the Isle of Arran, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from unpeated malt, and its colour comes from the cask alone. The whisky matures mainly in bourbon casks for ten years. Part of it then spends around nine months in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks before the batches are married, adding dried fruit, sweetness and gentle spice to the fruity, vanilla side of the bourbon wood. Candied citrus, honey, liquorice and butterscotch lead the nose. Rounded citrus, apple and sweet oak follow on the palate, and the long finish stays fresh, with sweet spice, hazelnut and cinnamon.
