Arran Sherry Cask Strength is an Islands single malt Scotch whisky from Lochranza Distillery on the Isle of Arran, bottled at 55.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The whisky matures only in first-fill European oak hogsheads from Jerez, seasoned with Oloroso sherry. The distillery runs its copper pot stills slowly, at six to seven litres a minute, and uses Concerto barley. It won Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2024 and 2025.
The nose has figs, dates, apricots, dark chocolate and spiced orange peel. The palate offers raisins, dark caramel, cinnamon, clove and roasted nuts, and the finish is long, with sherry spice, oak and cocoa.
