Arran 10 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky at 46% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. In 2013 an earlier release was nominated as one of the twenty defining whiskies of the previous twenty years, and this is a new version of that bottling.
American oak underpins the malt on the palate.
The nose opens slightly woody and acidic, then turns honeyed and chocolatey. The palate is fresh and spicy, with juicy orchard fruits and vanilla. The finish brings stewed pears and hints of cinnamon.
