Arran – 12 Year Old Duero Discovery Signature Series Edition 3 (70cl, 50%)

This is the third edition in the Arran Signature Series, a run of four releases curated by Stewart Bowman, manager of the Lochranza distillery on the Isle of Arran. The whisky spent six years in bourbon casks, then a further six years in red wine casks from the Duero region of northern Spain. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring. The red wine finish brings notes of dark fruit and spice, with a velvety depth.
