This is a single cask Arran, distilled on 1 July 1996, a little under a year after the distillery began production. It matured for 26 years in a first-fill ex-bourbon barrel and was bottled at cask strength, 48.2% ABV, on 28 August 2022, in a 70cl bottle.
The bottling was made for Switzerland and numbers 152 bottles.
The nose brings ripe mango, elderflower and honey. The palate is buttery, with vanilla custard, a light rancio and orange peel. The finish is strong and long, balanced, with a gentle spiciness.
