This single cask Arran was selected by independent bottler Hunter Laing from first fill sherry hogshead number 855. It was distilled in July 1998 and bottled in June 2022 at 23 years old, at a cask strength of 54%.
The hogshead yielded 245 bottles, and this one comes in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is intense, with nuts and heather honey, plus chocolate and red fruit. The palate is soft and complex, opening with brown sugar, cinnamon and chocolate alongside spicy, sweet oak. The finish is long and sweet, with candied nuts and chocolate.
