Arran – 25 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46%)

This is a 25 year old single malt from Arran, in a 70cl bottle. It is the distillery's oldest age statement in its core range, and 3,000 bottles are released worldwide each year. The whisky was matured in ex-sherry and bourbon casks and bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring. The nose combines rich oak and a gentle nutmeg note with baked figs, sultanas and black cherries. On the palate come fruit cake, toasted almonds and cinnamon, with orange and mandarin, manuka honey, muscovado sugar and a touch of white pepper. The finish is creamy and spicy, with dark chocolate, walnuts and dark fruit compote.
