Arran Barrel Reserve is a no-age-statement single malt Scotch, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured entirely in bourbon barrels and is meant to be enjoyed neat, with ice or in a longer drink or cocktail.
The whisky is fresh, light and elegant, built around sweet fruit notes. The nose is delicate apples and pears. On the palate come citrus, light vanilla sweetness, a burst of apple and delicate marine notes, and the finish brings sweetness, spice, charred oak, citrus and vanilla.
