Arran Barrel Reserve (70cl, 43%)

Arran Barrel Reserve is a single malt from the Lochranza Distillery on the Isle of Arran, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It matures solely in bourbon barrels, which leaves plenty of room for the fruity character of the distillery. Its colour comes from the cask alone, with nothing added. It is chill-filtered, so it stays clear when served over ice or at low temperatures. The nose combines lemon and other citrus fruits with green apple. On the palate, vanilla sweetness meets light cinnamon. The finish is gentle and lingering, joining fruit with spice and a hint of sweet oak.
