An eight year old Arran, distilled in 2014 and matured in a refill barrel, from Douglas Laing's Provenance series. It is bottled at 46% with no colouring and no chill-filtration, and 336 bottles were filled by hand into ceramic decanters.
The series is the Premier Barrel Selection, inspired by Victorian Music Hall. The nose shows coastal freshness, malted barley and lemon drops. The palate is creamy and thick, with salted caramel and gentle sea spray. The finish has a maritime character, fading to toasted oak and sweet seaweed.
