This Arran single malt honours Robert Burns, the Scottish national poet. It comes from the Isle of Arran and is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle, in a tube, with no added colouring.
The whisky matures in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. It was made by Isle of Arran Distillers, whose original distillery was founded in 1995 and is now named Lochranza.
Fresh fruit, sweet honey and a hint of vanilla meet light citrus and malt on the nose. The palate is soft and round, with toffee, green apple and creamy vanilla, and gentle oak and spice in the background. The finish is medium in length, harmonious and lightly sweet, with traces of honey.
