Arran Machrie Moor is a peated single malt from the Lochranza distillery on the Isle of Arran, matured for ten years in oak casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle and takes its name from the peat bogs of Machrie Moor.
The peat smoke sits alongside the distillery's fruity character.
The nose is citrus, orchard fruit, vanilla and honey with gentle campfire smoke and earthy peat. On the palate come ripe apple, pear, toffee and sweet malt, with soft smoke, black pepper and toasted oak. The finish is long and warming, smoky, with vanilla, spice and a coastal note.
