Machrie Moor is the peated Arran single malt, and this version is 10 years old. It matured for the full decade in first-fill bourbon casks and has a peat level of 20ppm.
The nose is rich, sweet and spicy, with peat smoke and ripe citrus fruit behind it. The palate follows the fresh style of Arran 10 Year Old, with a touch of peat smoke in the finish. A layer of sweet smoke gives the whisky its intensity.
