Arran – Quarter Cask 'The Bothy' Cask Strength (70cl)

Arran Quarter Cask 'The Bothy' is a cask strength single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Arran, in a 70cl bottle. It is first matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels, then moved to 125-litre quarter casks of American oak for a second maturation. The smaller casks let the whisky draw more flavour from the wood. The use of small casks recalls the 18th and 19th centuries, when they were easier to move around the island. It is bottled at natural cask strength, without chill filtration or artificial colouring. Vanilla sweetness meets bold, peppery spice.
