This is an Arran single malt matured in quarter casks, bottled at 56.2% in a 70cl bottle. A bothy, in Scotland, is a small shelter on a hilltop where walkers can take refuge, and the name comes from that.
The palate opens sweet with vanilla, then turns powerful and peppery, with white fruit, apple, pear and lemon. There is plenty of oak throughout.
