Arran – Remnant Renegade Signature Series Edition 1 (70cl, 46%)

This is the first release in Arran's Signature Series, a single malt bottled at 46% in a limited edition of 14,863 bottles. It was selected and signed by distillery manager Stewart Bowman. He chose and married ex-sherry hogsheads, ex-sherry butts and ex-bourbon barrels from across the Arran range, with the casks dating from between 1997 and 2017. The nose has toffee apples, vanilla, cinnamon, clear orange blossom and star anise. The palate is silky and balanced, with light liquorice, menthol herbs and honey. The finish is long, with orange peel and fresh floral notes.
