Arran Sauternes Cask Finish (70cl, 50%)

This is a single malt from the Isle of Arran distillery, which opened in 1995 near the village of Lochranza. It is a standard bottling of the distillery, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky first matured for around eight years in ex-bourbon casks, then finished in French Sauternes sweet wine casks. The distillery selects only its best casks for its wine finish series. The finish gives the malt a balance of fruit and fresh sweetness.
