This is Arran single malt finished in Sauternes casks, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. The casks previously held Bordeaux sweet wine, which adds a honeyed sweetness to the malt of the island's only single malt distillery.
The nose opens with acacia honey, then apricots, bananas and pears, with a floral note emerging over time. The palate is sweet with warm spice and a touch of salt, and lemon zest appears when water is added. The finish is crisp, with Seville orange, Sauternes and honey.
