Arran – Sauternes Cask Finish

Arran Sauternes Cask Finish is a single malt from the Isle of Arran distillery. It was matured in ex-bourbon casks, then finished in Sauternes sweet wine casks, which give it a golden colour and a sweet flavour. Arran selected some of its best casks for the Cask Finish range, which also includes Amarone and Port finishes. The nose opens with acacia honey, then apricots, bananas and pears, with floral notes developing over time. The palate is sweet with a warm spiciness. Lemon peel appears when water is added, and a light saltiness plays against the sweetness. The finish is crisp, with Seville orange, Sauternes and a hint of honey.
