Arran – Sherry Cask (70cl, 55.8%)

A permanent expression in the Arran core range, called Sherry Cask "The Bodega". It is matured exclusively in first-fill sherry casks sourced directly from Jerez, Spain. The original distillery is now commonly called Lochranza, to tell it apart from Arran's second distillery at Lagg, which opened in 2019. This whisky is non-chill-filtered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 55.8%, in a 70cl bottle. In the tasting notes, the nose has chocolate raisins, mandarins and a hint of spice. The palate is chewy and warm with ripe fig and sweet cherries. The finish is long and powerful, with pink pepper, hazelnuts and toasted oak.
