Arran Sherry Cask - The Bodega is a robust single malt from the Lochranza distillery on the Isle of Arran. It matured entirely in sherry casks, working with selected sherry bodegas in Jerez, and is bottled at a cask strength of 55.8% in a 70cl bottle. The style is darker, spicier and fuller-bodied than the bourbon-led Arran bottlings, shaped by European oak, dried fruit, nuts, sweet spice and strong fruit. The nose is usually described as chocolate raisins, mandarin and delicate spice. The palate brings ripe figs, sweet cherries and rich sherry fruit, and the long finish carries pink pepper, hazelnuts and toasted oak.
