The Bodega is a cask strength single malt from Arran, bottled at 55.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It looks back to some of the earliest Arran whiskies, which were mostly matured in sherry casks, and offers a contemporary take on that sherried style.
The nose brings ginger snaps, cinnamon and fruit and nut dark chocolate, with dried figs, dates and apricots behind. In the mouth it is bold but balanced and drier than the nose suggests, with dried fruit leaning towards apricot. Pepper, cinnamon and gingerbread spice run through a medium to long finish.
