ASW Fiddler Georgia Heartwood is a cask-strength bourbon from ASW Distillery in Atlanta, Georgia, made from a mash bill of 51% corn, 45% wheat and 4% malted barley. The bourbon is column-distilled in Indiana and matured in new charred American white oak.
Its distinguishing step is the finish. ASW's own team harvests white oak in Georgia and chars the staves by hand, and the bourbon rests on them before bottling. It is bottled non-chill-filtered, with no colour added.
The nose is caramel, maple and baking spice with orange peel. Toffee, maple and clove run over a sweet, wheated richness on the palate, and the finish is long, warming and led by oak.
