This is an 18 year old Speyside single malt from Aultmore, the distillery built in 1896 in the town of Keith. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Most of Aultmore's production goes into blends such as VAT69 and Dewar's White Label, so an official single malt bottling is uncommon.
The colour is bright gold. The nose offers apricot, sage, vervain, black pepper and cinnamon, with ripe apple and pear. On the palate come coconut, coriander, ginger, vanilla and candied citrus. The finish is long and silky, with praline, toffee and honey.
