Aultmore – 2008 14 Year Old Single Cask Auchindoran (70cl, 54.2%)

A single cask Aultmore from The Whisky Cask Company, bottled under its Auchindoran name from a cask filled in 2008. It is 14 years old, bottled at a cask strength of 54.2% in a 70cl bottle, without dilution, colouring or filtration. The outturn was 331 bottles. The whisky spent six years in a bourbon cask, then a further eight in an Oloroso sherry cask. The nose offers juicy raisins, dried fruit and ethereal notes. On the palate come dried fruits, dark chocolate and sherry, and the finish carries opulent notes of dry oak.
