Avon 9-Year-Old Milroy's Winter Series (American Oak Hogshead) (70cl, 51.5%)

A blended malt from undisclosed distilleries, bottled by Milroy's under the name Avon as part of its Winter Series. It was matured for just over nine years in an American oak hogshead and bottled at 51.5% ABV. The malt comes from a Lowlands distillery founded in 2012, teaspooned with whisky from a well-known Speyside distillery dating from 1971. It is described as a bold, fruity whisky with a balance of sweet and salty character. Tropical melon and fresh nectarine mix with leafy green notes, granola and an earthy undertone.
