This is a 10 year old Balblair, a Highland single malt bottled by Living Souls in 2024. After ten years it was finished in small Limousin oak XO cognac octaves, and it is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
On the nose come leather-bound books, polished oak and candied orange over apple and pear. The palate offers creamy butterscotch, toasted oak, dried fruits and a gentle herbal edge from the French oak, ending in a smooth, warming finish with campfire embers and soft spice.
