This is a single cask Balblair, distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2024 after 16 years in a bourbon cask. Chorlton Whisky bottled it at cask strength, 55.8% ABV, and the cask yielded 271 bottles.
The fruit character of this Highland distillery runs through it. The nose brings apple crumble, cherry jam, lemon balm and a whiff of whipped cream. The palate is dense and dessert-like, with cinnamon toast, red fruit compote and buttery pastry. The finish is long, with stewed apples, oak spice and citrus oils.
