Balblair 21 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the distillery at Edderton, bottled in a 70cl bottle. It is natural colour and non-chill filtered.
The whisky spends its first 15 years in ex-bourbon and double-first-fill American oak casks, followed by six more years in hand-selected butts that once held Oloroso sherry.
In the glass it is golden amber. The nose brings ripe pineapple and apricot, with vanilla warmed by cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate shows orchard fruits, cinnamon and rich sherry depth, and the finish carries dark chocolate and ripe tropical fruit with lasting vanilla warmth.
