Balcones High Plains is a Texas single malt made entirely from barley that was grown and malted in Texas. It is bottled at 57% abv in a 75cl bottle.
Barley growing in Texas is a recent development, given the hot, arid climate, and the whisky is offered as a tribute to the state and to the people who grow, malt and distil there.
The palate has a creamy body and a sticky, coating entry of stone fruit, honey and beeswax, fresh sourdough, caramelised sugars and subtle oak.
