An American single malt from Balcones Distilling in Waco, Texas, made with the solar eclipse as its inspiration. Head distiller Jared Himstedt added two strains of yeast to the house malt whisky yeast.
It was matured for four to five years in first, second and third-fill used Kentucky bourbon casks, and is bottled at 55% in a 750ml bottle.
It is described as balancing fruit, grain and palate density, with soft blush red berry and fruits-of-the-forest notes.
