Balcones – Texas 100 Proof Rye Whisky (70cl, 50%)

Balcones Texas Rye is a rye whisky in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 100 proof (50%). The mash bill is 100% rye, starting with Elbon rye from Northwest Texas alongside crystal, chocolate and roasted rye. It is distilled in copper pot stills. The nose opens with soft charred oak, black tea and cracked pepper, leading to fruit and chocolate-covered cherries. On the palate it is creamy, with buttery toffee building to peppery spice and hints of coffee and nuts.
