This is a Texas blue corn bourbon from Balcones, finished in wine casks. The finishing took place in west coast Grenache and Cabernet puncheons.
Balcones describes the aim as bringing a new dynamic to its blue corn whisky. The wine casks soften the bold, oily pecan and leather notes with layers of ripe berries and supple tannin.
