Ballantine's 17 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky from George Ballantine & Son, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. First introduced in 1937, it is described as the world's first 17-year-old blended Scotch. It is made from more than 40 malt and grain whiskies, each aged for at least 17 years in American oak casks, with Glenburgie, Miltonduff and Glentauchers among the key malts. The nose is dried fruit and soft oak with a background sweetness, malt and a touch of spice. The palate is smooth, with grain, malt, light vanilla and oak. The finish is medium to long, clean and slightly dry.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
