Ballantine's 21 Year Old (70cl, 40%)

Ballantine's 21 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky aged for at least 21 years in oak casks, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is creamy, with nutty notes from the oak it matures in. It is built from a selection of individual whiskies matured in different types of cask, each adding its own character, with sweet touches of vanilla and floral fruit. The colour is reddish gold and the body is smooth and satiny. The nose is sweet honey with hints of apple and floral aromas. The palate is medium, with traces of heather, liquorice and aromatic spice. The finish is long, with soft touches of sherry.
