Ballantine's 21 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky from George Ballantine & Son, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Every whisky in the blend has been aged for at least 21 years, and the expression was first introduced in 1993.
The blend combines single malt and grain whiskies from distilleries including Glenburgie, Miltonduff and Glentauchers, matured in oak casks with an emphasis on European oak.
The nose offers dried fruit and aged oak, with soft malt and a hint of spice. The palate is smooth, with oak and a touch of sweetness, and the finish is long and clean, with soft spice and wood.
