Ballantine's 7 Year Old (70cl, 40%)

Ballantine's 7 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky from George Ballantine & Son, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. It combines single malt and single grain whiskies, each aged for at least seven years, and is finished in American ex-bourbon casks. It became a permanent part of the Ballantine's range in 2020, and revives George Ballantine's practice of putting age statements on his whiskies in the 19th century. The nose is soft vanilla and light oak with a little spice. The palate is smooth, with caramel and toasted wood, and the finish is clean and medium in length, with vanilla and soft spice.
